Last minute Christmas Shopping

The days are quickly counting down to Christmas! If you are living in Lusaka and need some good ideas for presents, why don't you visit Afrikolor? This interesting shop has opened close to Shakespeare Court - turn left out of the entrance and travel along the Leopards Hill Road for about 6 km. Afrikolor will be found on the right, just before the sign for Kilimanjaro Lodge.
The shop has an interesting mix of crafts and fabrics. Hand printed fabric is on sale by the metre and there is also a making up service offered by a cheerful and experienced seamstress. There is also a range of ready made mens and ladies clothes for sale at reasonable prices. The fabric theme continues with hand made purses, aprons, oven gloves, table cloths and place mats. There are also some fabulous bed covers and quilts. Really lovely.
The shop also has a lovely range of hand made pottery - much of which has a distinct African theme. The pottery designs are interesting, with a good selection of items, ranging from teapots and cups to plates, bowls, tea light covers, mugs and assorted dishes. You will be spoilt for choice.
To top it all - the shop hosts a home made ice cream stall where you can buy the most delicious ice creams and sorbets - with some amazing flavours!
So, after your successful shopping for those last minute Christmas presents - you can treat yourself to a yummy ice cream, resting on the comfortable sofas outside the shop. Perfect.
